Purpose:
This flyer was created to promote registration for the upcoming academic term at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). The goal was to design a clear and professional promotional piece that encourages students to begin the registration process early and understand the resources available to them.
Goal:
To visually communicate important registration information in a way that is easy to understand, appealing to students, and aligned with TAMIU’s branding and messaging standards.
Programs Used:
Adobe Photoshop.
Tasks:
- Took multiple photos around the TAMIU campus to find an image that best represented the university environment.
- Edited and enhanced photos in Adobe Photoshop, adjusting lighting, color, and composition to fit the flyer’s layout.
- Designed the flyer by arranging text, aligning elements, and applying visual hierarchy so the key information stands out.
- Incorporated TAMIU brand colors and clean typography to maintain consistency with university promotional materials.
- Finalized the layout and exported the flyer in a print-ready and digital-friendly format.
Skills Learned:
Improved skills in photo composition and editing, especially with the rule of thirds. Learned how to use Photoshop tools to refine images, structure a layout, and maintain brand consistency. Gained experience in designing professional promotional material with attention to clarity, readability, and visual impact.
